Description
We are looking to add a Cable Technician to our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is central to our operations, requiring a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in structured cabling systems, including CAT6 and fiber optic cable installation, termination, and testing. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues
Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and speed
Ensuring the maintenance of precise customer credit records
Monitoring customer accounts and initiating appropriate action when necessary
Installing, terminating, and testing CAT6 and fiber optic cables as part of structured cabling systems
Presenting a detail-oriented image at all work sites
Cooperating with team members to achieve collective goals
Completing and submitting all necessary documentation in a timely manner
Possessing a comprehensive understanding of both Android Development and Data Networks
Being proficient in the use of Apple Devices and Cisco Technologies
Having the ability to travel across the state of Ohio as and when required.
Requirements
Proficiency in Access Control Systems and methodologies
Familiarity with Android Development and its application in cable technologies
Strong knowledge and experience with Broadband technologies
Proficiency in Cisco Technologies, especially related to cable networks
Understanding of Data Networks and their role in cable technology
Experience with AB Testing procedures and their application in network troubleshooting
Proficiency with Apple Devices, including troubleshooting and cable connectivity
Ability to use BluePrint for network design and cable installation planning
Extensive experience in Cable Installation in various settings
Familiarity with Cable Television systems, including installation and maintenance.
