The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a client engineering team of architects, administrators and O&M service desk. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the design, migration, implementation, enhancement, optimization and maintenance of mission network infrastructure. You will be responsible for installations, configurations, upgrades and support problem resolution. You will maintain the network hardware and software, as well as monitor the networks availability to all users. You will support the design, documentation, factory testing and network integration of IP/MPLS based LAN/WAN network infrastructure. You will bring experience using industry-standards and open-source technologies from a layered security perspective. You will have experience with Cisco routers to include 2900, 3800 and 3900 families, switches and firewalls (ISR/ASR series and ASAs/NexGen). You will implement copper and fiber optic cabling using data center industry standards and vertical and horizontal cable plants.

Responsibilities:
Configuring Juniper firewalls(SRX) to establish security boundary protection via firewall policies
Experience with configuration and troubleshooting IPsec VPN tunnels (site to site) on Cisco and or Juniper platforms
Hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 configuration with emphasis on dynamic routing protocols
Knowledge of configuring VLANs, 802.1q trunking, Rapid Spanning-tree (RSTP0, BPDI Guard
Familiarity with Cloud-based environments and vendors such as AWS (VPC0, Azure (Resource groups) and or Google (VPC networks)
Familiarity with data center infrastructure and technologies using Cisco Catalyst; including series 3700 and 6500; ISR Routers and Catalyst switches
Designing, engineering and implementing secure network protocols at layers 1-3 of the OSI model; to include cryptography, site to site VPNs, any connect, L2TP, VLANs and authentication

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Hands on experience with the implementation and use of network monitoring, fault management and performance analysis tools such as SYSLOG, SNMP, SolarWinds
  • Working knowledge of Linux (IPTables, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP) with specific experience regarding redirection of network traffic
  • Understanding of network logging and monitoring tools, including familiarity and comfort with Wireshark and Netflow
  • Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end data flow and applications to include workstations and servers; and also within a data center
  • Experience with engineering / architecture of secured enterprise telecommunication solutions
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, presentations and interpersonal skills to interact with peers, vendors, upper management
  • Must be a curious and quick learner, detail oriented, and take ownership of one's work product
  • Must be able to multi-task, re-prioritize and handle competing priorities

Desired:
IT certification in Linux, Microsoft and other network related fields
CCNA or JCNIA certification
AWS Certified Security Specialist
Experience with IPS/IDS systems to include network impacts
Experience using VMWare and other virtualization technologies
Strong networking mapping, documentation and SOP development skills
