Job Description:
Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cognos Administrator to join their team for an enterprise migration project of Cognos reports and data containers to a Cloud Version of Cognos. This role requires a professional with at least five years of experience in Cognos development and a minimum of three years working with Cognos Cloud. The position involves close collaboration with our IT and data teams to ensure a seamless transition to the cloud environment. This is a contract position with potential for extension, based on project needs and performance.

Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cognos Administrator to join their team for an enterprise migration project of Cognos reports and data containers to a Cloud Version of Cognos. This role requires a professional with at least five years of experience in Cognos development and a minimum of three years working with Cognos Cloud. Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of existing Cognos reports and data containers to the Cognos Cloud platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient Cognos reports and dashboards.
- Work closely with business analysts and data scientists to translate business requirements into robust Cognos solutions.
- Optimize and enhance existing Cognos reports and frameworks to improve performance and usability in a cloud environment.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of Cognos reports to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on the new cloud-based Cognos system.
- Document all processes and maintain comprehensive project records for future reference and compliance.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and features in Cognos and cloud technology to recommend upgrades and enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years' experience as a Cognos Developer.
- Proven experience with Cognos Cloud, with at least three successful migrations completed.
- Strong understanding of Cognos reporting tools and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with other database technologies.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
