Job Description

We are looking for talented candidates with a strong technical background, experienced cyber security knowledge, the ability to think like a cyber adversary and having a passion for cyber security. The Red Team is looking for candidates who are ambitious, self-motivated and want to develop solutions to tough and unique challenges. The Information Assurance Engineer role involves managing and executing Red Team cyber missions, including project management, mission planning, and vulnerability remediation. To succeed in this position, individuals must possess strong communication skills, in-depth cyber technical knowledge, and expertise in cyber project management.

The information assurance engineer communicates extensively within the LM Red Team and cross pollinates with matrix's staff to best meet the needs/resource of a particular situation/mission/test/event. The individual in this position collaborates across the LM Red Team, CIS, all Business Areas, as well as LMC functional organizations (e.g., legal, contracts, etc.), LMC programs, executives, external companies, and DoD entities about cyber security and cyber technical issues.

Basic Qualifications

Demonstrated cyber program/project management, planning & orchestration
Demonstrated exceptional communication and expectation setting skills with internal and external senior level personnel and colleagues
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including communicating vulnerability results and risk posture to senior executives
Demonstrated leadership in cyber technical planning and coordination for a cyber security team
Demonstrated ability to team across organizational and company boundaries to collaborate with and influence others
The ability to facilitate technical discussions with the LM Red Team along with coordinate discussions between IT support personnel & the LM Red Team testers.
Demonstrated problem solving skills; the ability to resolve issues (technical issues, schedule issues, business impact) that come up during a mission
Knowledge of technical cyber testing (e.g., penetration testing, vulnerability discovery, threat articulation, defensive strengthening, and cyber knowledge transfer) OR demonstrated functional and/or technical cyber security leadership experience over technical testing activities within complex internal and external customer environment engagements
Knowledge of computer attack methods and system exploitation techniques
Effective analytical and critical thinking skills - proven problem solving and follow-thru in high-pressure situations
Demonstrated self-starter and team player, able to quickly learn new concepts and share knowledge/information with team members
Minimum of current or ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Ability to travel (Up to 10%)

Desired skills

Demonstrated understanding of Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP)
Demonstrated application of security intelligence to evolve cyber testing TTPs and capabilities
Demonstrated experience with database technologies (API interfaces to WebApps, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, or NoSQL)
Knowledge of technical experience with at least one of the following: Networking (data flows, architecture, protocols, traffic analysis, wireless, etc.), Operating Systems (Windows/Linux/UNIX, OS configuration, file system structures, OS components, etc.) or coding/scripting.
Program management certification (Lean Six Sigma, PIM, PMP, CSM)
Cyber Technical and/or Security Certification (CISSP, CEH, GICSP, OSCP. OSCE)
Experience in conducting Open Source intelligence and reconnaissance gathering techniques

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $76,500 - $134,895. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
