Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Robotics & Discrete Automation, General In-dustries and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical re-source in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.\n\nThe work model for the role is: #LI - Hybrid\n\nThis role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation division in Auburn Hills, MI. Main stake-holders are our internal and external customers.\n\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\n \tOffering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.\n \tPerforming analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.\n \tDeveloping and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).\n \tEnsuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.\n
Qualifications for the role

  • \tBachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field and 2- 5 years of related design experience required. Experience in logistics and consumer segment industries is strongly preferred.
  • \tAlternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments is accepted.
  • \tMust be advanced in MS Excel
  • \tPreferred skills: 3D Modeling, Robotic Simulation tools, ABB Robot Studio, AutoCAD, and MS Word.
  • \tCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
