RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Oakland, CA that is seeking an Expert IT Product Specialist (Broadcom Products). Candidates in the Bay Area are preferred for hybrid - but we are open to 100% remote PST.

Summary:
The IT Operations Tools team is responsible for Monitoring & Automation tools across all infrastructure network, server, and applications (code side, being able to trouble shoot an issue to identify if it's an application or server issue). Primary users of these tools are Enterprise Network Operations Center (ENOC), operations teams, and emergency command centers (ITCC, PSPS, WSOC). In this role, the Expert IT Product Specialist is responsible for supporting enterprise monitoring environment - network, servers and applications. Primary products are within the Broadcom Suite. This team supports monitoring for 20K+ devices across network, telecom, common facilities, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
* Installation and Configuration of network monitoring tools Administration - Monitor the general health of the system
* Meet with network system owners for new monitoring requirements
* Provision monitoring for network devices (e.g, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, WaaS) Configure tool integration with Remedy
* Provide client support and training
* vendor, install patches and hotfixes
* Vulnerability Management - Review and install new patches on servers
* Transition Project/Build over to the Operations Team

REQUIREMENTS:
* BA/BS in Computer Science, IT Networking, Security, or other related technical degree
* 10+ years of experience directly supporting Network Fault Management and Network Performance Management tools in enterprise environments
* 5 years of experience directly supporting Broadcom (CA) NetOps (DX NetOps, Spectrum, NFA, PM)
* Experience working for large telecom companies like AT&T, Verizon or others with a vast network infrastructure like Netflix
* Experience with Windows, UNIX, Network, Application, etc.
* Broadcom (CA) Support experience supporting Broadcom product suite in a variety of areas
* Installation and Configuration of Broadcom (CA) DX NetOps solutions: Spectrum, PM, NFA
* Supporting of Broadcom (CA) DX NetOps solutions: Spectrum, PM, NFA for network system monitoring including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless
* Integrating of Broadcom (CA) NetOps solutions with third party: Remedy Service Desk
* Experience creating and maintaining integration between Broadcom (CA) AlOps solutions: e.g. DX NetOps to Operational Intelligence Dashboard
* Proficient in reviewing and installation of new patches for the applications
* Familiarity with supporting monitoring tools for network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless
* Familiarity with networking protocols (eg. SNMP, MPLS)
* Experience with any scripting language - preference for Python or Groovy (alternatives like Bash, PERL are acceptable)
* Experience with a ticket management systems such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow
* Experience coming out of large company/complex environment (vast network infrastructure)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
