Document Crunch is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Lead to join our amazing, tight-knit team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a remote testing team, developing comprehensive test strategies, building test automation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a remote team of testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback for performance evaluations
  • Review and provide detailed feedback on product requirements to ensure testability, clarity, and suitability for the customer domain
  • Develop and maintain test plans
  • Design, implement, and improve test automation frameworks
  • Create manual test cases for scenarios where test automation is not cost-effective
  • Report and track bugs, including detailed steps to reproduce, environment considerations, and severity assessments
  • Prioritize test cases based on risk assessment, business impact, and resource constraints
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and customer support to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in QA methodologies and tools
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile development team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies
  • Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation for QA activities
  • Assist in performing root cause analyses for critical issues and help propose preventive measures

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices, and software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG)
  • Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman
  • Familiarity with SQL and database concepts for data validation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with remote teams and cloud-based collaboration tools
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B SaaS environments
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
  • ISTQB certifications or equivalent
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Knowledge of security testing principles and tools
