The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a motivated Senior Systems Engineer to to join our team supporting the U.S. Army Program Executive Office -Aviation and the Project Management Office, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (PM UAS) initiative. This team works with a federal workforce staff with technical expertise directly supporting Modular Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) requirements for Army aviation platforms. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in a Continuous Deployment environment to evaluate and decompose requirements
  • Generate MBSE models as well as consume MBSE models to generate requirements - MBSE tool that is being used is CAMEO
  • Develop accurate ROMs for software development programs
  • Work in DoD System Engineering processes in embedded systems in areas such as ICDs, SRD, CDDs, PDR and CDR

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Active secret clearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with standard DoD System Engineering Process and terms such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Customer Acceptance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Math, Physics) from an accredited University with minimum 8-10 years of professional experience, ideally with DoD organization or Contractor
  • Experience (minimum 8-10 years) working with embedded systems in 1 or more of the following areas with preference towards candidates whose work experience includes DOD projects.
    *Relevant work experience in the Software, Computer, Electrical, or Systems Engineering domains
    *Integration or Test, preference towards candidates with experience in automated/ scripted testing
    *Experience developing requirements, documentation, and design
  • Experience working with configuration management systems and tools (Subversion, GIT, Atlassian, etc..)
  • MBSE modeling experience
  • Experience in developing accurate Rough Order of Magnitude for software development programs

Desired:
  • Experience with FACE and/or AMCE standards
  • Understanding of FACE Technical Standard and conformance requirements Experience with FACE conformance testing and verification
  • Understanding of Operating System Segment requirements
  • Experience working in containerized environments
  • Experience/Knowledge of modern software architectures (microservices and distributed systems)
  • Experience in DevSecOps
