College Board - Digital Transformation
Location: This is a fully remote role. Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office)

About the Team
As part of the larger AP and Instruction Department, the Digital Transformation Team is a strong and collaborative group of product owners, product managers, content experts, and product development professionals. The Digital Transformation team is responsible for managing a portfolio of digital assessment and instructional products and leading the work to transition paper assessment programs to the College Board's digital assessment platform. This team works closely with colleagues in technology, user experience, operations, assessment design & development, psychometrics and program management to design and develop digital solutions that meet the needs of our users.
About the Opportunity
As our Director of Digital Testing Content, you'll play an instrumental role in transforming the standardized testing experience and changing the way we develop content about test administration.
In this role, you'll use your editorial and analytical skills to support educators with content and tools that help them complete tasks easily and quickly. You will write instructions and best practices that are simple, clear, accurate, and above all useful.
You'll advocate internally for a minimalist approach to content, using fewer words to do more for the user.
You'll be responsible for every aspect of content development:

You'll be responsible for every aspect of content development:
Planning and Discovery (20%)
- Track down the information you need to determine the most critical user and business needs
- Design your content to meet those needs
- Discuss your plan before you draft
- Schedule your work
- Write and edit long- and short-form copy
- Transform complex information into bite-sized digital content
- Adapt content for new channels, users, and purposes
- Develop UI copy in collaboration with UX designers, IT developers, and product owners
- Revise content in response to feedback from diverse stakeholders
- Follow brand, style, accessibility, and other standards
- Use content management systems to enter and publish content
- Proof web and application content before launch
- You have 7+ years writing and editing for digital channels
- You have a track record of writing simply about complex topics
- You respond to feedback productively and admit mistakes quickly and openly
- You have strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- You're equally comfortable collaborating with teams and working independently
- You know how to manage expectations, deliver on deadline, and handle conflicting priorities
- You have experience using content management systems
- You've designed or written UI copy for digital applications (preferred)
- You know how to implement Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (preferred)
- You have experience in education-related industries, particularly digital assessment (preferred)
- Ability to travel 4-6 times per year to College Board meetings and events
- Eligible to work in the United States of America
- Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled
- While the hiring process may vary, it generally includes: resume and application submission, recruiter phone screen, hiring manager interview, performance exercise and/or panel interview, and reference checks. This is an approximately 8-week process
