Salary: $55.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly
Description:
Our client, a leading financial services company, is currently seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain functional test automation scripts for mobile applications using Appium with Java.
  • Design and implement a robust test automation framework from scratch using Espresso and/or XCUI for iOS and Android applications.
  • Ensure automation is continuously running, analyzing, and promptly reporting on failures.
  • Research, investigate, and implement best practices for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and test automation.
  • Collaborate with leadership to train QA Testing resources on automation best practices.
  • Work cross-organizationally, both internally and with external vendors (onshore and offshore), to define environment requirements and select automation-related tools.
  • Foster an end-to-end testing approach across multiple applications.
  • Partner with geographically distributed teams to influence QA tooling and technology decisions.
  • Liaise with product teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to integrate project plans, testing schedules, and metrics reporting.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile application development.
  • 4+ years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Strong coding experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with XCUI and/or Espresso for mobile test automation.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard bug tracking and test case management tools (JIRA, MTM, Zephyr, HPQ).
  • Ability to manage multiple QA projects across geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong understanding of mobile development for iOS and Android devices.
  • Experience with Kotlin and Swift is a plus.
  • Prior financial or trading services industry experience is preferred.
