Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Management Analyst to support the design, integration, and analysis of data for the Idaho Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) System Integration (SI) Hub. This individual will be responsible for overseeing data management processes, performing data analysis, and supporting systems integration activities through advanced data modeling, ETL development, and database optimization. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience working with complex datasets and systems integration in a healthcare or Medicaid environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage data integration and transformation processes supporting the SI Hub
  • Analyze, validate, and model data to support decision-making and system functionality
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries and ETL processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, module vendors, and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely data exchange across systems
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of data interfaces and integration solutions
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of metadata, data dictionaries, and data governance standards
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and alignment with federal and state compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL, database management systems, and query generation
  • Practical experience with ETL tools, middleware solutions, and systems integration
  • Working knowledge of programming languages commonly used in data environments (e.g., Python, R, Java, or similar)
  • Relevant certifications in data management, analytics, or related technologies

Preferred:

  • Experience with MMIS or other healthcare-related data systems
  • Familiarity with Medicaid data structures, data governance standards, and CMS compliance
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouses, BI tools, and reporting platforms
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional technical teams
