About the Role:

The System Integration Engineer works closely with our largest customers to integrate the DistillerSR platform with their tech stack and business processes, driving business value and a better research experience. This high-impact, high-visibility role is both technical and creative with each integration tailored to meet the specific requirements of the customer organization.


The ideal candidate is a skilled developer and has the expertise to be creative and take an innovative approach to problem-solving. They have a passion for championing partner needs and a natural curiosity about how things work and how things fit together. With excellent communication skills, integrity, and a drive to help others, this role will play a key part in shaping customer solutions and creating high value integrations that change how our customers work.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with clients and colleagues on solution ideation, implementation and delivery
  • Participate in customer discussions related to DSR integration with other tools in the customers tech stack
  • Lead business requirements discovery for integration, data conversion, and complex business logic
  • Develop and deploy scripts and web-based utilities that leverage DistillerSR s API, acting as the team s technical expert for integrations
  • Deliver successful Business Intelligence integrations for customers that leverage DistillerSR s API
  • Support Client User Acceptance Testing, issue triage, and resolution during solution delivery
  • Support DSR-internal integration projects, such as CRM or BI data integrations
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and milestones
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to travel internationally when required


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a directly related field
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in systems integration or software development
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Agile methodology
  • Proficiency and strong programming skills in Python, PHP, MySQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Customer-first approach
  • Engaged team player that can influence in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
  • Organizational skills - ability to collaborate with team members in an agile manner
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to assess and prioritize issues

  • Demonstrated good judgment and ethical approach to applying new technologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace productivity suites, with the ability to learn new software and skills as required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience delivering SaaS product demonstrations
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other BI platforms
  • Proficiency with Cursor AI or Microsoft Copilot is an asset
