Description
We are looking for an experienced Syteline ERP resource with the following experience on Syteline Implementation projects in manufacturing or distribution industry. Resource will work under project manager with the business resources to co-ordinate activities in the following areas :
Data Migration
ERP Testing
Background
Abbott manufacturing site based in Dundee, Scotland is implementing Syteline V10 ERP solution to replace legacy Syteline V7 ERP. Project will start Sept and last approximately 14 months.
Data Migration
Role involves planning, executing, and overseeing the migration of data from Syteline V7 ERP system to Syteline V10 ERP system. You play a pivotal role in ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency to support business operations @ Go Live. Responsibilities may include:

1. Data Analysis and Planning:
o Analyzing data requirements and understanding existing systems.
o Collaborating with stakeholders to define migration scope and objectives.
o Developing data migration strategy and plan.
2. Data Extraction and Transformation:
o Working with IT to extract relevant data from legacy systems.
o Working with IT to ensure data quality and consistency.
o Transforming data to fit the target structure.
3. Data Loading & Verification
o Loading data into new system when Data Enrichment is required
o Verifying data accuracy and completeness.
o Resolving data-related issues during migration.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
o Creating documentation for migration processes.
o Generating reports on data migration progress.
o Maintaining records of data mappings and transformations.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
o Coordinating with technical teams, business analysts, and end-users.
o Communicating progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
6. Quality Assurance and Testing:
o Identifying Data Verification Requirements
o Conducting data verification tests in DEV and QA environments.
o Ensuring successful data migration without disrupting business operations.
ERP Testing
Role involves ensuring the successful testing and quality assurance of Syteline ERP software. Here are the key functions and responsibilities:
1. Test Planning and Execution:
o Develop and execute test plans for new system.
o Drive progress on Functional Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
2. Issue Identification and Solutions:
o Collaborate with testing team and IT technical resources to identify issues, troubleshoot and resolve / propose solutions.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
o Work closely with end-users to ensure user satisfaction during testing cycles.
4. Quality Assurance and Testing:
o Validate that the new ERP system meets business requirements.
o Supporting validation test / certification on validated systems.
o Ensuring successful data migration without disrupting business operations.
Experience Required:
Min 5 years project implementation experience.
Prior experience with Syteline ERP systems.
Familiarity with data migration activities on ERP project.
Familiarity with testing methodologies and activities on ERP project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
This resource will also be managing the project aspect of the data migration plan so they will need to coordinate with different parts of the organization such as technical resources from the third party vendor.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $115.00
