Job Details

The Product Specialist is responsible for the full lifecycle management of an internal system, including defining product vision, roadmap, and strategy. This role collaborates with stakeholders to gather and vet business requirements, prioritize features, key reports, dashboards, and ensure system enhancements align with business objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing system integrations, managing processes and workflows, and ensuring data integrity. The Product Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements, support operational efficiency, and ensure the accuracy of data coming into the source of record. Additionally, the role requires managing system documentation, coordinating with teams on process automation, and maintaining accurate system records to ensure seamless business operations. Strong Excel experience manipulating data within Excel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting product management activities for one or more products.
  • Support operational teams with comprehensive product and domain knowledge.
  • Develop multi-quarter product roadmaps and drive execution across the organization by nurturing trusted relationships with stakeholders and making difficult choices informed by data.
  • Identify key enhancements and features necessary to support business priorities. Own and manage product backlog and priorities.
  • Partner with data management and technology teams to assist with development of data strategy and automation of reporting capabilities.
  • Identify and resolve issues for assigned product(s) that may impair the team s ability to meet goals.
  • Partners with vendors and/or cross-functional internal teams such as Client Services, Data Management, Technology, Sales, Operations, Legal, Marketing, Finance, in the evaluation, development, management, and/or enhancement of assigned products and/or programs.
  • Manage the loading of new business portfolios into system(s) of record including the DSC scrubbing processes and workflows.
  • Perform Strat and Matches as directed by established policies or upon request by delegate authority.
  • Manage and maintain system of record data integrity and perform data hygiene routines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices for financial services operations and compliance.
  • Support Product Specialist within the Debt Purchasing division to ensure redundancy and maintained system(s) of record.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in business administration and management, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. In lieu of education requirement, 4+ years of experience in digital payments, financial services, product management, product development, product delivery, or agile project management.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows. Ability to perform advanced data manipulation using excel following established policies.
  • Experience managing the loading of data for new business portfolios into systems of record and/or account, portfolio, project, or product management.
  • Experience managing backlogs using tools such as Jira or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with Collections and/or account management software platforms preferred but not mandatory.
