Data Governance Analyst

Position Summary:

We are seeking an AI Governance Specialist to oversee and enhance our AI governance initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with various business units and legal teams to ensure compliance with regulations and standards impacting our AI operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze AI-related regulations and compliance requirements at both state and federal levels.
• Develop and implement governance frameworks and checklists to ensure adherence to legal standards and prevent biases in AI applications.
• Support the cybersecurity team in governance oversight, with a focus on protecting sensitive data.
• Assist in the creation of incident response plans (IRP), business continuity plans (BCP), and data governance strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate and guide them on AI governance best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in governance and compliance, preferably in a mid-sized or larger organization (2000+ employees).
• Familiarity with regulatory environments affecting cybersecurity and AI.
• Understanding of information system auditing standards (e.g., NIST framework).
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Background in data governance, privacy, or related fields is a plus.
• Experience in financial or insurance industries is beneficial, but not required.
• Eagerness to engage with AI technologies and applications, contributing to practical use cases and regulatory compliance.
