Description

We are in search of an IT Governance Analyst to join our team in the financial services industry in San Diego, California. As an IT Governance Analyst, you will be a key player in ensuring the controls used to mitigate business risks are properly designed, executed, and documented. You will contribute to strategic and tactical initiatives related to IT risk and control management, and play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence. Must live in PST OR CST Time Zones.

Responsibilities:

Participate in the management of the IT Risk and Control Library, contributing to both strategic and tactical initiatives.

Ensure effective task management in a governance documentation and monitoring environment.

Create deliverables such as process flows, procedure documentation, and specialized assessment reports.

Assist in the development and maintenance of risk management policies, documenting gaps and issues, and promoting awareness and understanding of key risk management concepts within the business.

Support the implementation of risk management practices and procedures by preparing and conducting presentations to internal stakeholders.

Conduct audits to ensure accurate execution and presentation of information, and monitor management ownership levels to facilitate due diligence and participation in compliance, audit, and risk management requirements.

Collaborate in the development of a company-wide framework, integrating elements of ITIL, CobIT, and ISO disciplines.

Monitor industry best practices to assist in maintaining a risk-based approach to infrastructure practices.

Contribute to the development of IT activity documentation into a generally understood and accepted process model.

Serve on IT planning and policymaking committees to drive the development of technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics.financial services

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years experience in IT governance, preferably within the mortgage industry
Proficient in IT risk management and ITIL processes
Familiarity with CobiT and ISO Standards
Proven experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation
Understanding of SDLC - Software Development Life Cycle and SDLC Methodology
Experience in Organizational Change Management
Proficiency in Change Management Techniques
Knowledge of FFIEC regulations
Experience with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
