Azure Solution Architect / Manager (Data Center Migration to Azure Cloud)

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Solution Architect / Manager (Data Center Migration to Azure Cloud) to lead our data center migration project to Microsoft Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, cloud migration, and client-facing communication. This role will involve coordinating with various teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to ensure a seamless transition to the Azure cloud platform.

Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the migration process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders at various levels.
• Effectively communicate project progress, timelines, and challenges.
• Address client concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.

Technical Project Management:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive migration plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
• Oversee the migration of on-premises infrastructure, applications, and data to Azure.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and applications.
• Monitor project performance and identify potential issues or roadblocks.

Network Architecture Expertise:

• Understand the client's existing SDWAN-based network architecture.
• Develop and implement strategies for migrating the network to Azure.
• Ensure compatibility between on-premises and cloud-based network components.
• Optimize network performance and security in the Azure environment.

Cloud Migration Strategy:

• Develop a cloud migration strategy that aligns with the client's business objectives.
• Assess the suitability of Azure services and technologies for the client's needs.
• Identify potential cost savings and efficiency gains from the migration.
• Provide guidance on cloud adoption best practices.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the migration project.
• Develop contingency plans for unforeseen challenges.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a cross-functional team of technical experts.
• Foster collaboration and teamwork among team members.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in a cloud migration context.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, including SDWAN and cloud-based networking.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and technologies.
• Proven experience in client-facing roles, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Azure cloud technologies (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with data center migration tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with SDWAN technologies and vendors.
• Experience managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
