This role will involve working with a multidisciplinary team of design, project, and test engineers to accomplish a variety of tasks associated with running mechanical tests on aerospace hardware. Day to day functions will include:
- Working onsite in a test lab environment with extensive customer interfacing
- Completing test planning documentation and obtaining approvals from stakeholders
- Setting up and disassembling test stands and test rigs for mechanical aerospace hardware
- Running and monitoring verification HSIT tests, following engineering standard work
- Documenting test results with large amounts of data
- support in the area of embedded real-time software development using DO-178A Level A development processes
- Completing post-test documentation and reports
Work Experience
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (required)
- 1-3 years of experience with mechanical testing of hardware (strongly desired)
- Excellent communication and customer interfacing skills (required)
- Exposure to the aerospace industry (strongly desired)
- Working knowledge of test rigs and test setups (required)
- Basic Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (desired)
- Experience with DO-178A Level A (desired)
- Experience with HSIT Testing
- Exposure to Teamcenter PLM software (beneficial)
- Ability to work in shop floor and office environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- This is an onsite role. Candidates must be able to commute to Windsor Locks CT
- Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.88 - $30.77 per hour
