The National Security Space Business Area of Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia, PA is seeking an experienced, creative, and high energy Software Engineer with recent and relevant skills.

You will be designing state-of-the-art concepts while delivering innovative capabilities in a new and emerging mission area supporting Joint All Domain Command & Control (JADC2) initiatives. The selected candidate will serve as a seasoned Staff Software Developer on a team tasked with developing and integrating a variety of software components using Java and Python to support the Joint All Domain Command & Control (C2) mission. Our developers are empowered to sign up for tasks that interest them and have an opportunity to demo their work to external stakeholders up to every two weeks.

Candidates must be passionate about their trade, insist on product quality and focused on customer mission success. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills and be willing to engage in frequent interactions with peers, teammates, and customers in other geographical locations.

Basic Qualifications

Required Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in software development using C/C++, C#, Java and/or Python languages (5 years minimum experience)

- Familiarity with Agile development processes / tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira)

- Demonstrated ability and desire to be self-sufficient and apply critical thinking skills to troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues

- The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment

Security Clearance Requirements:
- To maintain long-term employment on the program, selected candidates will be required to successfully obtain an active Top Secret security clearance

Desired skills

- DevSecOps technologies and GitLab CI/CD pipelines

- C/C++, Java, or Python programming language experience

- Messaging technologies (ActiveMQ / Artemis, JMS, AMQP, TCP/IP, XML, XSLT, JSON, SFTP)

- Server Operating Systems, including RedHat Enterprise Linux

- Common Software Design Patterns / Architectural paradigms (e.g., microservices)

- Familiarity with containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher or similar platforms/products

- Development tools (Ansible, Packer, Gradle, Eclipse, VS Code, etc.)

- Configuration management tools (Git/GitLab, Nexus, etc.)

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $105,000 - $201,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
